Louis Vuitton Drops Its Horizon Wireless Earphones In Gradient Blue. They Are Gorgeous But The Price Will Make You Dizzy

The Italian luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton is known for many things—primarily for its totes and duffle bags, its signature monogram and travel tag but also for its outrageously expensive items that you didn’t know you needed with the LV logo embedded on them until they launch it and it’s all you can think about. These include iPhone cases, band-aids, cassettes and even garbage bags. No kidding! The brand that initially made a niche in the fashion world with its high fashion leather accessories like bags, watches and shoes has successfully broaden its selling scope to everything in the sight. Since aesthetic airpods became a fashion statement lately, LV dropped wireless earphones last year that the brand loyalists flocked to the stores to get their hands, or ears, on. Now, there’s new variant of the same buds on the block and it’s a gorgeous gradient blue with LV monogram. NGL, they are luring us into breaking our bank.

The Louis Vuitton Horizon Wireless Earphones with noise-cancelling feature, water-resistant technology and eight hours of playtime in ANC mode were launched in five colours, namely bright red, pristine white, jet black, pink, and neon yellow with the iconic LV logo embedded on them but the brand recently dropped a stunning new design, much fancier and aesthetically pleasing than the previous ones IMO. While the last year’s earphones with the simplistic design were priced no reasonably at $1,090 (approximately INR 75,000), the new offering is worth an eye-watering $ 1190 which equates to a little over INR 87,000. I know. Suddenly, the phrase “The best things in life are actually very expensive” make so much sense to me.

The sleek airbuds are housed in a stainless steel case which is inspired by their Louis Vuitton Tambour Horizon Watch. They are compatible with Apple and Android. Instead of the LV logo, the design features the pointed and rounded flower monograms and mirror-polished steel that would make for some head-turning fashion accessory. Although I am fairly content with my boring white earpods (mainly because they didn’t burn a hole in my pocket) that are lying tangled somewhere, I know these ombre blue pieces of art will haunt my dreams especially when I have like Rs. 15o0 in my account.

More often than not these LV launches make you roll your eyes, not only because they are ridiculously pricy but they aren’t even worth your penny like the LV tote with three enormous holes and the LV gold-studded face shield they debuted amidst the pandemic. However, there are times when they play their cards right and come up with the most stunning fashion items like the LV pillow boots that temp you to put your kidney on sale. These wireless earphones fall in the latter category which is begging the audiophile in me to shell out my hard-earned money on these tiny music accessories. If you share my sentiments and can’t stop obsessing over these fabulous, crazy expensive buds, they will be up for grabs from 15 January 2021 at all LV stores. Meanwhile, I’ll cry in poor.
