‘Koffee With Karan’ S7: Did You Know Ranbir Kapoor Asked KJo If He Should Marry Alia Bhatt On SOTY Set?
The one thing that we’ve all been waiting for with bated breath is the first episode of Karan Johar’s talk show Koffee With Karan Season 7. The episode dropped on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar just hours ago and we cannot seem to have enough of it. TBH, this episode with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt is a total riot and it gave us a (big) glimpse of their bonding and sakhiness. Move over B-town BFFs coz Tutu and Lulu are here! While we all know how much fun Ranveer can be, Alia too let her hair down during the show while sharing the Koffee couch with Pammi aka Ranveer. And this hilarious duo made several revelations on the show that had us laughing like a drain. Amid all this, the actress also shared bits about her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor, their marriage, proposal and adjusting and adapting to the HUGE Kapoor khaandaan.

Now, here’s the interesting bit. Even before Alia and Ranbir even started dating, the actor had dropped by on the sets of the actress’ debut film Student Of The Year and jokingly asked Karan Johar if he should marry Alia. Hold on now, there’s more. Apparently, Alia Bhatt had no clue about this until Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar revealed this on the Koffee couch. Speaking about Alia and Ranbir’s love story, Ranveer Singh said, “Didn’t he (Ranbir) come on the sets of Student Of The Year and joked with you, ‘Should I marry you?'” Responding to this the filmmaker agreed and a genuinely surprised Alia blushed and stated that she had no idea about it. Well, looks like Koffee With Karan isn’t just about spilling the tea for us but also for Alia!
FYI, Alia Bhatt also opened up about adapting to the Kapoor family and how they like celebrating everything together. She also spoke about how Ranbir Kapoor proposed to her in the most unexpected moment but planned it well. She shared that he asked her to marry him at Kenya’s Maasai Mara National Reserve which is an extremely special place for the lovebirds but she did not reveal the deets of the proposal.
