‘Indian Matchmaking’: Sima Taparia’s Female Clients Reject Matches Because They “Like Them Too Much”. Hain?

The makers of Indian Matchmaking recently dropped another new season of the show. But this time, I feel there was less drama and more gyaan on compromising by Sima Taparia. Like after each new season of Indian Matchmaking, there is chatter online on how Taparia asks her clients to “compromise”, this season was no different. But what I noticed was how even the female clients on the show are just as toxic as the male! Like how the male clients cite stupid reasons to reject a guy, women have also been rejecting good guys because they think the guy likes them “too” much. Hain, yeh kaisa reason hai, didi?

In the previous seasons, there was Aparna Shewakramani who was extremely critical of the guys she met. Either someone was too enthusiastic or someone liked her too much, she gave some weird reasons for not going ahead with the matches suggested by Sima Taparia. In this season, we had Priya who felt she was not sure about Vim, a very cute guy with a top knot, because he was ‘too interested’ in her.

I mean, if Priya is finding a guy who likes her too much in an arranged marriage setting, shouldn’t she see that as an advantage? Because women spend years in a loveless marriage and her, she found a guy who was vocal, genuine, and caring about her right from day one. If this is not rab ne bana di jodi, then I don’t know what is!

Rejecting a guy within the first couple of meetings because he likes you too much is not even an excuse! I get that some women like to pay hard to get but if they are going to take it this far, then, they are better off single. And if guys would have rejected both of them saying they are too snobby or thought too highly of themselves, I would not have blamed them.
Priya from season 3 Indian Matchmaking wanting to dump a guy because he actually likes her & saying she doesn’t feel worthy of that shouldn’t be on the show. If you’re not emotionally available or unhealed, you shouldn’t be seeking a relationship for marriage🙄

I can’t believe that these grown women need to be told to communicate what they feel. You are here, looking for a partner, and you don’t know that you should communicate about the pace of the relationship with the guy you are in a relationship with! How immature is that?

Can we not normalise toxicity and snobbery in the name of having standards? I love that Sima Taparia in Indian Matchmaking calls a spade a spade with female clients like these because they are not only wasting her time but theirs as well!
