‘Gehraiyaan’ Trailer: This Shakun Batra Directorial Starring Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi Looks Promising
Okay, I’m just going to dive into this. The most anticipated film of the year Gehraiyaan just dropped its trailer and I cannot wait to watch it. Honestly, it has me jumping up and down in joy. Starring Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa in the lead roles, this film is set to release on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on 11th February. Gehraiyaan has been directed by the ace director Shakun Batra and is being co-produced by Karan Johar led Dharma Productions. The film revolves around the love lives of two couples – Alisha and Karan played by Deepika Padukone and Dhairya Karwa and Zain and Tia played by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday, and the complexity of their interpersonal relationships. This film dives into the Gehraiyaan of complex adult relationships and explores the grey shades of love, lust, longing and infidelity.

This Shakun Batra directorial stars Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor in supporting roles. Ever since the teaser of the film has been released, Deepika and Siddhant have been lauded for their sizzling chemistry. And the duo looks even better in the trailer. The story of Gehraiyaan follows the rather troubled married life of Alisha and Karan and the love life of Alisha’s cousin Tia and her fiance Zain. The trailer further shows how Alisha and Zain fall for each other and how their illicit affair leads to chaos in the lives of all four of them. This compelling drama explores the depths of modern relationships, grey shades of love and lust and the other side of infidelity. Gehraiyaan is all about adulting, letting go and taking control of one’s life and choices.

Personally, I am absolutely loving Siddhant and Deepika’s chemistry but I must say, Ananya Panday seems to have outdone herself with her portrayal of Tia in Gehraiyaan. But more importantly, what makes this film a must-watch is the fact that it shows the reality of life, love, relationships and people. I love how all characters of the film seem to have their own set of flaws. NGL, I’m just waiting for it to realise so I can dive into the Gehraiyaan of these characters.
Gehraiyaan is set to release worldwide on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on 11th February.
