‘Yeh Ladki Pagal Hai’ Ep 17: Prajakta Koli Reveals How Internet Helped Her Come Into Her Own, Says “My Bar For Embarrassment Is High”

The internet is a scary space to be in. It’s a powerful tool that can make you or break you. It can mess with your head and leave you with mental health issues but it also has upsides. It can teach you things and help you come into your own as well. We’ve all heard stories about how the internet has left people with eating disorders and body image issues but not many people talk about how it has taught them so much and given them a voice and power. In a recent conversation with Hauterrfly’s Confused Kudi on Yeh Ladki Pagal Hai, internet sensation and Mismatched star Prajakta Koli opened up about how being on the internet helped her come into her own and helped her grow a thick skin and be herself.
Speaking to Confused Kudi, Prajakta Koli revealed that she was just 21 years old when she started her journey as a creator and started making and sharing videos on YouTube. “I’m 29 now, I’ve spent almost all my 20s on the internet. During this time, I have really come into my own where I have shared all my inhibitions, and my bar for embarrassment has gone up because I’ve loved being myself. I got that strength from the internet.”
The content creator and actress also spoke about being a happy person most of the time and having bad days. Prajakta Koli shared that Mismatched director, Akarsh Khurana had once told her that she is an “annoyingly happy” person. Revealing that she also has tough days, Prajakta says, “When I have tough days, I choose to be by myself. It’s not that I trying to not show my other side online but I just feel that we all spend so much time on the internet and especially on Instagram, our vibes travel so quickly. So, I get baring my soul and all that but what if someone is having a good day? I wouldn’t wanna be the buzzkill.”
