All About Anchal Singh, The Actress Featured In Netflix’s ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein’
Netflix recently released a series that tackles a different shade of obsessive love. Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, starring Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, and Anchal Singh, is a love triangle where a man is caught between two women. One loves him and the other one desires him. The series is directed by Sidharth Sengupta and written by him, along with Anahata Menon and Varun Badola. The story revolves around Vikrant played by Tahir Raj Bhasin, a romantic and simple guy who falls for Shikha, played by Shweta Tripathi. But here enters Purva played by Anchal Singh, who is highly driven by her desire for Vikrant and will go to any lengths to get him. The audience loved the series and Anchal Singh grabbed the attention with her exceptional acting skills as the obsessive lover. But she is not new to the showbiz world. The actress has worked in many films and advertisements before this.

WHO IS ANCHAL SINGH?
Anchal Singh grew up in Chandigarh. She is the daughter of Gunbir Kaur and Gurbax Singh. Her mother is a lecturer and her father is a former Indian Air Force officer. She is the youngest of two siblings and her elder brother works as a digital marketing consultant in Delhi.
She completed her education from the Air Force Golden Jubilee and graduated from the Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, where she did her majors in Political Science (Honours). It was during this time that she realised that she want to pursue acting and moved to Mumbai.

HER PROFESSIONAL LIFE
Anchal Singh has worked in more than 300 commercials including Asian Paints, Dabur Fem Bleach, Ponds, Garnier, Vivel, Malabar Gold, Jos Alukkas, and Hyundai. She appeared in many print ads for big brands like Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Amway, Lays, Horlicks and many more. Anchal Singh also appeared on the cover of Femina magazine. She made her acting debut with the Sri Lankan film Sri Siddhartha Gautama. She played the role of princess Yashodhara in the film that became the highest-grossing film in Sri Lankan cinema. Anchal won many awards for her performance in the movie.

The actress appeared in another Singalese film Akarsha. Set against the backdrop of a war, the story of this film revolves around a gorgeous Tamil music instructor and a Sinhala army officer. After that, she made her Tollywood debut alongside Santhanam in Rambala’s Dhilluku Dhuddu. She has been cast in another Tamil film which is currently under production.
Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein was not Anchal’s OTT debut. Yes, you read that right. The actress has previously worked in another SonyLiv web series titled Undekhi. She portrayed the main lead in the series and received many praises from the audience and critics.
