What To Watch This Week Of June 10 – 17: ‘Ms.Marvel’, ‘The Broken News’, ‘Code M 2’, And More

As you guys know, some people in this world are introverts and unlike most people, they hate going outside and I would like to clarify that I’m one of them. And I don’t know about others but I like to spend my weekend watching my favourite movies or series with my family, I’m telling you, it’s the best. But if you are confused about what to watch this weekend, I’m here to help you. Here are some of the most exciting films and series dropping this week that you can binge-watch this weekend. Because entertainment toh zaruri hai bhai log! 

So, let’s take a quick look:

1. The Broken News – Zee 5

The Broken News is an adaptation of a British show titled Press and features Sonali Bendre, Jaideep Ahlawat, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Taaruk Raina in lead roles. The story revolves around the concept of ethical and unethical journalism, it shows the real side of the newsroom and you will be surprised to know how crazy it can be. It is directed by Vinay Waikul and will premiere on Zee5 on June 10.

 

2. Ms. Marvel – Disney+

The story of Ms. Marvel revolves around a geeky teen – Kamala Khan, a 16-year-old Pakistani-American who lives in Jersey City, New Jersey. Ms. Marvel is the first Pakistani-American and Muslim superhero in MCU. Directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, it features Iman Vellani, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha. MsMarvel was released on June 8 on Disney+.

3. Code M Season 2 – Voot Select

Directed by Akshay Chaubey, season 2 of Code M features Jennifer Winget, Rajat Kapoor, Seema Biswas and Tanuj Virwani in pivotal roles. The series tells the story of Major Monica Mehra, a fearless and determined Indian Army Lawyer. Code M got released on June 9, 2022, on Voot Select.

 

4. Udan Patolas – Amazon miniTV

Udan Patolas is an Indian adaptation of the Israeli series Honey Badgers, it features Aastha Ssidana, Sukhmani Sadana, Apoorva Arora and Poppy Jabbal. The series revolves around four Punjabi women and their new life in Mumbai. The series is directed by Shakti Sagar Chopra and is going to premiere on 10 June, on Amazon miniTV.

5. Ardh – Zee 5

The film Ardh starring Rajpal Yadav and Rubina Dilaik tells the story of a struggling artist who wants to become a successful actor, he pretends to be a transgender named Parvati with the help of his wife. Ardh is going to premiere on ZEE5 on 10 June.

6. Peaky Blinders Season 6 – Netflix

The sixth and final season of the hit series Peaky Blinders will focus on Thomas Shelby as he is all set to take down his nemesis – politician Oswald Mosley. It is directed by Anthony Byrne. Starring Cillian Murphy, the series will release on June 10, on Netflix.

7. For All Mankind Season3 – Apple TV+

Season three of For All Mankind featuring Joel Kinnaman, Shantel Van Santen, and Jodi Balfour is set in the 1980s and early 1990s and the new destination of the Space Race for the US and the Soviet Union is Mars. For All Mankind 3 will premiere on June 10, on Apple TV+.

 

8. Feels Like Home – Lionsgate Play

Helmed by Sahir Raza, Feels Like Home stars Preet Kammani, Vishnu Kaushal, Anshuman Malhotra, Mihir Ahuja, Inayat Sood and Himika Bose. It tells the story of four boys and their journey of self-discovery. The series is going to release on Lionsgate Play on June 10.

 

9. Don – Netflix

The film Don tarring Sivakarthikeyan follows the story of a college student, Chakravarthi Ganesan, who takes up engineering only to impress his father. Directed by Cibi Chakaravarthi, this Tamil film will release on Netflix on June 10.

 

10. Jayeshbhai Jordaar – Amazon Prime Video

Starring Ranveer Singh, Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah and Jia Vaidya, Jayeshbhai Jordaar tells the story of a man and his journey to save his unborn daughter. Directed by Divyang Thakkar, the film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on June 10.

 

11. Jurassic World Dominion – Theatres

In the film Jurassic World Dominion, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard along with the OG trio, including Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum will fight the deadly dinosaurs. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the film will release in theatres on June 10.

 

12. Janhit Mein Jaari – Theatres

Directed by Omung Kumar, Janhit Men Jaari follows the story of a woman who faces many difficulties in her life because she sells condoms in a small town. Starring Nushrratt Bharuccha, Vijay Raaz, and Tinnu Anand, the film is all set to release in theatres on June 10.

13. 777 Charlie – Theatres

777 Charlie tells the heartwarming story of a man and a pup named Charlie. Directed by Kiranraj K, it stars Rakshit Shetty, Sangeetha Sringeri, Raj B. Shetty, Danish Sait and Bobby Simha. The film will release on June 10, in theatres.

 

You can also watch episode 4 of The Boys Season 3 which will release on June 11 in India, only on Amazon Prime Video. The Soldier Boy will finally emerge from the secret lab in the 4th episode
