It Is Vicky Kaushal’s Birthday And Our Josh Is High! Here Are 5 Best Performances By Him

‘Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, dear Vicky!’ Well, of course, we are going to party because it is Vicky Kaushal’s birthday! I am a through and through Vicky Kaushal fan and think he has the most charming looks and swag. He turned 33 today, he doesn’t look like it, does he? Vicky has displayed his versatility with his choice of films ever since he made his debut. Well, not that we are going to be actually invited to his birthday bash, so here is an alternate way you can celebrate Vicky’s birthday. Here are five films of the birthday boy that you have to watch where he has absolutely nailed it with his performance!

5 Films Where Vicky Kaushal Has Slayed

1. Masaan

Vicky made his debut with Masaan which was released in 2015 and the movie was the talk of the town. I was blown away by Kaushal’s portrayal of this shy man who is in his 20s, maybe, and the kind of grief he experiences at this age. His heartbreak, his sadness and his pain seeped out of the screen and were personally felt.

2. Raazi

Kaushal played the role of Iqbal Syed who gets married to Alia Bhatt aka Sehmat Khan Syed. He is the son of the Pakistani Army’s brigadier Parvez Syed. The shock that registers on his face when he realises that his wife is a spy is so well portrayed by Vicky Kaushal here. Plus, the cute husband that he is melted our hearts!

3. Lust Stories

As much as this anthology film focuses on a women’s sexual pleasure and satisfaction, I felt it was Vicky Kaushal’s segment that actually focused on this bit. He plays the role of Paras who is not aware that his wife Megha aka Kiara Advani is not satisfied in bed. But when he learns this, his willingness to actually satisfy her is quite path-breaking, to be honest!

4. Uri: The Surgical Strike

This film can most definitely be called the career best for Vicky Kaushal and I am sure you will agree with me. He played the role of Major Vihaan Singh Shergill and he fully justified it as well. His ‘How’s the josh’ dialogue has stuck with the audience!

5. Sardar Udham

This biographical historical drama film saw Vicky essay the role of Sher Udham Singh who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer as revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The movie received critical acclaim for Kaushal’s performance and shedding light on the historical events.
