Tom Felton Said Playing “Evil Wizard” Draco Malfoy Made Him Unpopular With Girls
I find it absolutely hilarious that many times people aren’t able to distinguish between the actor and the character they play. We have all heard instances of actors being disliked just because they played a negative character so well. I also am reminded of the time when I was a youngin who genuinely believed that child actors lived a very cool life. Considering that I grew up to be a very privacy loving adult, I am glad my parents didn’t bother pushing me into stardom. Another reason I am grateful for this is because of Tom Felton and his statements describing his experiences with people around him when he was playing Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter franchise.

Tom Felton opened up about his experiences playing the villainous Draco Malfoy growing up and how it actually did not help him with his popularity. Felton says that he was not special or popular and was a child actor with dyed hair who was playing an evil wizard, which “wasn’t cool”. He further said that his role did not help with girls either.

Despite this, the actor says that he would love to play Draco Malfoy again. According to sources, he said that he would be up for dying his hair again just to be Draco again. He also said that he has grown to be possessive of the character and would feel differently if someone else were to play him.
