Was Sydney Sweeney Catcalled On The Met Gala Red Carpet? Furious Fans Demand Strict Action Against The Reporter

There have been more than a thousand times when I have noticed paparazzi zooming in their cameras at inappropriate spots, as they capture celebs running errands, entering gyms, or even on a red carpet. We sure live in a world where a celebrity’s personal space has no fence, and they’re considered nothing, but a public property (which is extremely sad). And especially for female stars who at times brush away some inappropriate questions on their weight and comments by these men behind the camera. I mean, I can never forget the one incident, when Justin Bieber angrily enquired the paparazzi if they in any way were trying to capture shots beneath Hailey Bieber’s skirt. As disturbing as this sounds, the number of such bizarre incidents has no stopping, even at the most prestigious events in the world.

Yes, I am here talking about the Met Gala and one of the many shocking instances from this year’s annual round. Well, according to reports based on a Tik Tok video, Euphoria fame Sydney Sweeney was apparently catcalled on the red carpet. According to the viral video, Sydney was a recipient of some bizarre, inappropriate comments when she twirled in her white Tory Burch gown.

As suggested by the same video, 24-year-old Sabrina Bergsten from New York brought the case to our attention, as she spoke about the reporters yelling “Does anyone have boobs like you down there? Come on, show us those boobs.” Surprised Sydney said nothing and instead laughed off the comment. As soon as Sabrina posted the video, fans came running to study the case well. Talking about the same, many wrote, “Literal icon Sydney Sweeney deserves better and we all deserve better,” “This is supposed to be a classy event. So unprofessional for someone to say that.” Take a look at this video.

And with the internet talking about the inappropriate comment, and backlash served to the organisers of Met Gala, a spokesperson soon jumped in with an answer, “This was just brought to our attention — and we are neither clear if the allegation is accurate nor who the reporter may have been — yet surely we would not condone any of our guests being treated in this unprofessional manner.”

This is definitely not the first time when Sydney was served with hateful, sexually inappropriate comments, after stepping into the shoes of Euphoria‘s famous Cassie. This distasteful comment and verbal harassment showcase the world’s attitude towards even the biggest of female stars. And with Met Gala turning into a street in my city, with jobless men spilling out crap, we hope this incident is looked into and some action is taken against the person responsible.
