‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ Actor Surbhi Tiwari Files Complaint Against Husband For Domestic Violence Ahead Of Divorce
Violence against women is one of the biggest issues that need to be addressed as soon as possible. There are so many women who suffer in silence instead of reporting domestic violence because they don’t want to be the target of our hypocritical society. However, there are many women who are coming forward and speaking against the injustices they have faced. Recently, TV actress Surbhi Tiwari filed a complaint against her husband, Praveen Kumar Sinha for alleged domestic violence ahead of her divorce.
The Diya Aur Baati Hum actress Surbhi Tiwari is breaking all ties with her husband and in-laws after filing an FIR against her husband, mother-in-law, and sister-in-law for domestic violence and intimidation. According to the reports, she will soon file for a divorce as well. In an interview, she mentioned that after her wedding, she found that her husband was not interested in starting a family with her and she realised they both weren’t compatible as well. Surbhi also added that she couldn’t continue acting as Praveen refused to relocate to Mumbai with her. She mentioned that she feels cheated as her in-laws refused to return her stree-dhan, jewellery, and silverware that she had brought after the wedding.

Surbhi Tiwari further mentioned that she had decided to part ways with her husband amicably even after suffering so much but Praveen told her that he would not give her a divorce and she can take the legal route for it. For the unversed, Surbhi tied the knot with Delhi-based pilot and businessman Praveen Kumar Sinha in the year 2019.
