Suchitra Krishnamoorthi Shares That Her Daughter Kaveri Encouraged Her To Join Dating Apps
I think that when we discuss single parenthood, people are way too fixated on the challenges of raising kids by themselves. But what not enough people are talking about is dating as a single parent. I am not saying it is a necessity to find and have a partner but it shouldn’t be taboo for a single parent to crave and want that companionship. Actor Suchitra Krishnamoorthi had the option of finding love on dating apps as her daughter, Kaveri made her sign up for one after her divorce. Suchitra Krishnamoorthi married Shekhar Kapur in 1997 and separated in 2006. In a recent interview, Suchitra stated that she was different from her own parents and was not strict with Kaveri as a single parent. Suchitra also said that Kaveri coerced her into signing up for a dating app.
As a single parent, Suchitra stated she was very careful to avoid doing something frivolous. She admitted that she was an extremely conservative person in several aspects of her life, and she had to get over a lot of self-conditioning in order to keep a promise she made to her daughter. Her daughter Kaveri created Suchitra’s profile on a dating app. Suchitra claimed she was compelled to go for dates, which she disliked. She also admitted that she wound up friend-zoning the people she saw after a few dates. She said that she hopes to write about her experiences in a book or a story someday.

Suchitra said according to sources, “I got so bored and told her (Kaveri) bachha this is not my scene. She registered my name and put my profile, then she insisted that I go on some dates. I told her that I did it for your sake, now I can’t do it and I am fine on my own.” Suchitra also stated that following her separation from ex-husband Shekhar, she had a one-year-long relationship which nobody knows about.
