‘Pandya Store’ Fame Simran Budharup Files FIR After Receiving Rape Threats From Trolls Due To Her Negative Role

But many a time, this obsession becomes quite harmful when the comments are harsh and vulgar. Take the instance of the Pandya Store fame Simran Budharup who got rape threats after her onscreen character broke a marriage.

Yep, Simran Budharup who is well-known for her role of Rishita Dwivedi Pandya in Pandya Store revealed that the trolls attacked her with rape threats after her onscreen character broke a marriage. She said that things got so out of hand that she had to file an FIR against these trolls that attacked her for following certain twists in the life of her onscreen character.

The actress revealed that it all started when her character broke the relationship of the show’s lead characters – Raavi and Dev – she started getting attacked by trolls. Simran Budharup said, “ Initially, I would take all the negative comments lightly because my character was doing things for which she was bound to get disliked. She broke the relationship of Raavi and Dev who were already established characters from Pandya Store, but recently it went haywire when people started abusing and giving rape threats to me on social media. A lot of things were happening.”

As per reports, Simran Budharup added that it was when she received rape threats for her on-screen character’s doings, is when she decided to go to the police. She added, “That’s when I took a step and I went to the police station and lodged a complaint. These were a group of kids who were around the 13-14 age group. Their parents gave them phones for education purposes but these kids were misusing their parents’ trust. They didn’t know where to draw the line and what was wrong so they started doing these things.”
