Shweta Tiwari Opens Up About Her Abusive Marriage With Raja Chaudhary And Her Daughter’s Reaction To It

Shweta Tiwari has been extremely vocal regarding her first marriage with Raja Chaudhary and how extremely abusive he was towards her. Shweta was reportedly married to Raja Chaudhary when she was only 18 years old, and she had only recently begun her career in television, becoming a household name with Ekta Kapoor’s drama Kasautii Zindagii Kay. While her professional life flourished, her marriage was disastrous. Shweta chose to move on and divorce, Raja. They share a daughter, Palak Tiwari and they divorced when she was 12 years old.

In an interview, Shweta opened up about Palak’s reaction to her father’s actions. She said that Palak witnessed her father’s horrors against Shweta. She said that he would beat and torment her in front of Palak several times. She said that Raja had many false accusations against her and that she refused to let him meet her children, according to sources.

Shweta even stated that Raja chose money over their daughter Palak, and she was okay with his decision. She revealed that during the divorce, two proposals were made: either take a house which will also be in Palak’s name or select a house named after only him and stay away from their daughter. He chose the latter choice right away. Shweta then added that she acquired peace (shanti) for her daughter and herself at this price.
