‘Sex Education’ Star Emma Mackey Joins Live-Action ‘Barbie’ Alongside Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling
I have played with Barbie dolls for most of my childhood and I still cannot resist checking out the latest Barbie collection if I am at the toy store. From dressing them up to styling their hair and playing house with my friends using these dolls, I have done it all! I also at times fantasised about what these Barbies will look like if they came to life. And well, I am about to get my answers soon with the live-action Barbie film that is currently underway. And my excitement to watch the film knows no bounds ever since I have learnt that the French-British actor Emma Mackey has been roped in to play a role in it.
Emma Mackey Joins The Cast Of Barbie Live-Action Film
According to the Digital Spy, Emma Mackey has been taken on board the upcoming Barbie live-action film. The movie is directed by Greta Gerwig and also stars Margot Robbie who will be essaying the role of the protagonist Barbie, Ryan Gosling and Will Ferrell who is reportedly going to play the role of a CEO of a toy company. The details of Emma Mackey’s role have not been yet disclosed but nevertheless, I am very excited to see her as a Barbie.

The resemblance between Margot Robbie and Emma Mackey is very uncanny and has not gone unnoticed by me. Given this factor, it will be absolutely fun to see what roles they play and they will be characterised. Greta Gerwig’s husband Noah Baumbach has written the script for the film.

Emma Mackey’s role in Netflix’s series Sex Education was immensely loved by the audience. She was last seen in the 2022 film Death On The Nile which is based on the eponymous novel penned by Agatha Christie. The 26-year-old will also be seen in a biographical film based on the life of the English novelist Emily Brontë.
