Richa Chadha Says Bollywood Celebrities Who Attend TV Debates Have No Credibility And Are Rejects Of System

In today’s day and age, being relevant is of utmost importance. No matter which field you are in or what industry you are a part of, if you’re not relevant then you’re going to fall behind. And being relevant becomes even more important if you’re from Bollywood. I mean, we all have seen many Bollywood stars doing absolutely unusual things and saying random things to remain in the spotlight. But until now, there were not many from the film fraternity that had ever openly commented about it. And now, Richa Chadha has called these celebrities out stating that they have no credibility and are rejects of the system.

Richa Chadha has always been a bold and fierce actress who has always spoken her mind so it was not a surprise when she took a dig at celebrities that were attending television debates. She believes that Bollywood celebrities who try and make themselves relevant by participating in debates regarding the film industry on news channels are those people who have no credibility and are ‘very opportunistic’.

Richa Chadha Bipolar Apology

The Madam Chief Minister actress in an interview said, “As far as polarisation in the film industry goes, I don’t know but I refuse to take seriously people who have zero credibility. I don’t want to name them here and give them more importance because that’s actually what they thrive on. But the fact is they have no credibility. They are the rejects of the system. They are what my friend Mini Mathur calls the ‘khurchans (scrapings from the bottom of the pan) of Bollywood.”

Richa further stated that these Bollywood celebrities who engage in film-industry-related debates on news channels are not insiders but are rather the ones standing outside and barking at others. Chadha added, “If they are going to gather together, appear on TV debates, froth at the mouth and try to be relevant, they should not be taken seriously. I mean they are not insiders. They don’t know. They are the ones who stand outside a room and bark at you for not being included. They are holding grudges from 1952. That polarisation I would not be able to speak for because I think it’s very opportunistic.”

It comes as no surprise that the Candy actress was so vocal in voicing out her opinion. Not only have Richa Chadha’s movie choices been bold but even her words have been frank and blunt. And as far as Bollywood celebrities who appear on news channels for television debates go, I do agree somewhere with her. We have all come across famous, well-known celebrities saying something or the other to stay relevant and keep up with today’s generation.
