Earlier this year we received the news that power couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had a baby girl through surrogacy which they had announced on their Instagram, asking everyone to respect their privacy. However, there was no other news or updates regarding their daughter. However, we received news that the couple has named their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. While we are yet to see a glimpse of the baby, we can always talk about what this name means.
According to sources, the name Malti has Sanskrit origins and means ‘a small fragrant flower’ or ‘moonlight’. Additionally, Marie ‘star of the sea’ and it also has French origins as the name refers to Mother Mary in French. This information was leaked by TMZ after they allegedly got their hands on the baby’s birth certificate.
