Priyanka Chopra Talks About Newfound Sisterhood In Bollywood With Jee Le Zaraa Co-Stars Alia Bhatt And Katrina Kaif

While there are many women in Bollywood who are worth looking up to, I think we can all safely agree that Priyanka Chopra tops the list. Other than being a brilliant actress in Bollywood, she has also made her mark in Hollywood and is a true feminist who wants to empower women all over the world. She recently opened up on her upcoming project, Jee Le Zaraa with actresses Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. She also discussed how this corresponds to women supporting women and I’m here for that energy!

In a recent interview, Priyanka Chopra talked about her journey to becoming an actress and how women are usually pitted against one another. She said that when she first started off as an actress, it was the early 2000s and there was a lot of competition owing to the predominantly Indian society which pits women against one another saying that only one can be the best. She further added that the generation of women and actresses have tried to create a sisterhood which she is proud to be a part of.

She was then asked about how far women in the entertainment industry have come. Priyanka used her own upcoming film, Jee Le Zaraa as an example. She said that she’s doing a film with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt who are the top actresses of Bollywood. Priyanka stated that all three of them decided to do a film together and produce it as well. She recalled that it used to be very different before and that not only were women pitted against one another but also the casting depended on the male lead too. She added, “it depends on who is the flavor at that time and that was a very unsettling feeling,” according to Deadline.
