Nick Jonas Is All Praises For ‘Rock’ Priyanka Chopra When Their Daughter Was In The Hospital For Almost 100 Days
If you want to see how fierce parents can get, then you should see them when they’re in the hospital attending to their child – especially their newborn child. It is at such times that they’re standing hard as a mountain and doing everything in their power to protect their baby. And this is exactly what Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas did when their newborn daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, was in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) for almost 100 days. In fact, in a recent interview, Nick Jonas even opened up about what those 100 days in the hospital were like for them as parents.

It was back in January 2022, when Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed their daughter through surrogacy. As per the birth certificate that a news portal obtained, their first child was born on January 15, 2022, at a hospital in San Diego. However, the baby was born prematurely and so had to be kept in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) for a while before the couple could take her home.

Earlier in a social media post, Nick Jonas had revealed that their daughter, who they named Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, was hospitalized for almost 100 days before she was discharged and allowed to go home. And now in an interview, he disclosed the reason why they decided to share Malti’s hospital journey.

Nick Jonas said that the main and only reason Priyanka Chopra and he decided to share their daughter’s journey was so that other parents who are suffering would know that they are not alone. He even ahead and called the journey an eye-opener in more than one way.

Speaking about Priyanka Chopra being strong throughout Malti’s hospital journey, Nick Jonas said, “I think that what we shared on social media was just kinda the feeling that we had, the gratitude obviously to have our baby home. But also for each and every person that was part of her journey while in the hospital. It’s eye-opening in a lot of ways. And I think it was really important for us to just share that. And make sure that people know that whatever their journey is, whether it’s something like we went through or diabetes or whatever challenges might come up, you’re not alone. And grateful to have a teammate in Pri who was a rock the whole time and continues to be so.”

In fact, not only Nick Jonas but also Parineeti Chopra was all praises about the way Priyanka Chopra handled the situation when her newborn daughter was in the hospital. On Mother’s Day, the Saina actress posted a heartfelt note for her sister calling her hard and inspiring. She called her “Mimi didi” a soldier in the hospital. She concluded it by saying that now those times were over and that it was time to spoil Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
