People Slut-Shame Tanisha Mukerjee For Her Blouse During Durga Puja. What Happened To Respecting Women During Navratri?
It is Navratri 2022, and this festive season, people are being their best-dressed selves to go for Garba! And with the Durga Pujo time here, people are leaving no stone unturned to deck up. While some are receiving compliments for the efforts that they have put in to put together an outfit, some are getting slut-shamed. And on the receiving end of this hate currently is Tanisha Mukerjee, Kajol’s sister. She was clicked attending a Durga Puja Pandal with her sister and mother, the keen-eyed internet users decided to troll her for the blouse that she was wearing on the occasion.

A lot of pictures and videos have gone viral of Kajol, Tanisha and their mother Tanuja offering prayers at a Durga Puja pandal. One of the videos is shot with Tanisha’s back to the camera and it shows the backside of the blouse. And let me tell you, it was not at all revealing or vulgar in any way. In fact, it was all tied across with thick laces all across Tanisha’s back.

But people can’t see a happily dressed woman enjoying her time, na! They have to drop nasty comments to ruin her mood along with just about everyone else who is on that post. People have gone on to comment on the post and said that Tanisha is ‘shameless’ for wearing such clothes while coming to a place of worship. Another dedh shaana person went on to write that she is giving Poo vibes from K3G and also that she should’ve worn ‘dhang ke kapde‘ for her visit.

It is quite shocking to see people passing such horrible comments on a woman during a time when they are worshipping a goddess. And it is ironic to see these people post on their social media talking about respecting women throughout the year and not just during Navratri. These misogynists will not let any opportunity pass by to troll a woman no matter how many positive things they say on social media. As they say, kutte ki pooch tedhi hi rehti chaahe kitni bhi seedhi karne ki koshish kar lo!
