‘Maharani 2’ Trailer: Huma Qureshi’s Rani Bharti Promises A “New Bihar”. But Will She Succeed?
A good political drama is a great way to unwind and break away from our boring and monotonous lives. And the one political thriller on top of my life of faves is Huma Qureshi starrer Maharani. TBH, I just love watching female protagonists in powerful positions. After going from being a homemaker and wife of Bihar’s Chief Minister to being the Chief Minister herself, Rani Bharti had quite a journey last season after her husband made her his successor. And now the makers of the series are all set to continue the story with a season 2. Produced by Kangra Talkies and directed by Ravindra Gautam, Maharani 2 has Subhash Kapoor and Nandan Singh as showrunners and writers. Season 2 of this show stars Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Inaamulhaq, Kani Kasturi, Anuja Sathe, Pramod Pathak and Neha Chouhan alongside Huma Qureshi. Huma Qureshi’s Rani was thrust into the dark and twisted realm of politics in Season 1 and Maharani 2 follows her story as she takes the reigns and begins the process of creating a “new Bihar” with fair and transparent administration but will she ever succeed and win this game of dirty politics where every move can be twisted around? This thrilling trailer shows a series of incidents that lead the state into a state of turmoil and after the death of a beauty pageant contestant, things get worse. In the middle of the chaos, Naveen Kumar plays a new hand as Rani Bharti vows to tackle the crime and goons in “new Bihar”. With all the opposition and politics, how will Rani save her dream and her state?

TBH, Huma Qureshi’s Rani Bharti has left us sitting on the edge of our seats with goosebumps. We cannot wait to watch season 2 and find out what this series has in store for us next.
