Kashmera Shah Confirms That ‘Lock Upp’ Contestant Payal Rohatgi Had Suicidal Tendencies, Says “She Is Not Lying”
You don’t need a reason to have depression or anxiety. Mental health problems just creep up on us and mess us up. And all this is much worse when one has suicidal tendencies. One would think that only us regular people struggle with mental health problems but time and again celebs across the globe have opened up about their battle with depression and suicidal tendencies. Recently actress Payal Rohatgi opened up about her struggles during Lock Upp and revealed that she felt suicidal at one point of time in her life and had also turned into a heavy drinker. She also shared that she had slit her wrist during one of her toxic relationships post her stint in Bigg Boss 2. While the actress bared her soul on the show, several people had questions and refused to believe her story and called it a sob story created for increasing viewership. But Payal’s friend Kashmera Shah came out in her support and verified the claims.
In a recent tweet, Kashmera Shah reacted to Payal Rohatgi’s revelations and shared that it is true that the Lock Upp contestant had suicidal tendencies. Pointing out that Rohatgi is telling the truth, Kashmera revealed that she had met her and stayed with her all night because she was worried that Payal would do something. “I never wanted to talk about this but I don’t want you all to think she is lying for votes because she is Not Lying,” said the actress in her tweet.

For the uninitiated, Payal Rohatgi had broken down and shared that due to one of her relationships, she was so troubled that she began drinking heavily and would drink for 48 hours straight. She said that she was on prescription drugs and was suicidal and had even tried slitting her wrists. She further added that she would beg the person she was dating to come back and would tell him that she’s having a nervous breakdown and doesn’t want to die. The actress made the revelation on judgement day on Lock Upp after the host, Kangana Ranaut, declared both Payal Rohatgi and Saisha Shinde unsafe.
