K-Pop Fans Demand Apology From The New Yorker Reporter After She Demeans SHINee And BIGBANG To Praise BTS

Okay, I’ll admit that BTS is the biggest boyband in this world right now and I find myself watching their music videos because their choreography is mind-blowing. However, I do listen to other K-pop artists and bands as well and let me tell you, they all are so talented, I can’t help but obsess over them. Well, speaking of K-Pop and BTS, many fans recently called out The New Yorker’s article on BTS written by a Korean journalist as she demeaned other K-Pop boybands – SHINee and BIGBANG while praising the Bangtan boys. This is not a good thing at all!

Recently, a journalist who works for The New Yorker wrote an article about the famous K-Pop boyband BTS and it has irked many K-Pop fans. In the article titled ‘Joining the BTS Army’, she wrote about the rise of the Korean boyband. However, the article has invited a lot of controversies because the journalist named Tammy Kim mentioned several other K-pop idols in the story but not in a good way. In the article, she mentioned the unfortunate suicide of Kim Jonghyun, a member of SHINee and BIGBANG members’ controversies while praising BTS.

After she posted the article on her social media account, fans criticised her article and pointed out that Jonghyun’s demise and BIGBANG’s legal issues have nothing to do with BTS’ fame.

Take a look at their reactions:

They are saying that Tammy Kim unnecessarily dragged both the bands in her story and demanded an apology from her and the news publication.
