Johnny Depp Returns To The Stand, Calls Amber Heard’s Testimony “Unimaginably Brutal”

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s trial has been making headlines for far too long as the case nears the date of the close arguments. The case is currently in the last week of trial and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp returned to the stand to speak up once again. Taking to the stand, Johnny Depp called all the allegations levels against him by Amber Heard “false” and “outlandish”. Returning to the witness box the actor spoke about his feeling after watching his ex-wife’s testimony in the defamation trial. FYI, Amber was on the stand for the past two weeks and during her testimony, the actress accused Depp of several instances of abuse, sexual assault and violence among other things.

Johnny Depp addressed all the accusations levelled against him by Amber Heard and also spoke about how he felt about it. Sharing that it is “insane to hear such “heinous accusations” being made against him including those of sexual violence, the actor called it “horrible, ridiculous, humiliating, ludicrous, painful, savage, unimaginably brutal, cruel, and all false”. Denying all allegations, Depp was quoted by People saying that no person is perfect including both him and Amber while adding that he has never in his life committed “sexual battery, physical abuse”. He went on to sue other adjectives to describe Amber’s testimony and his feelings towards it. The actor called all the allegations made by his ex-wife “outlandish” and claimed that the stories of him committing these things is outrageous and he has been living with it for 6 years and waiting to speak his truth.

Earlier, Johnny Depp was quoted saying that all this is not easy for any of them as they have to split themselves open and tell the truth. For the unversed, Depp is suing his ex-wife and Aquaman actress for $50 million over her op-ed in The Washington Post in 2018 where she called herself a domestic violence survivor. While the actress did not name him, she had hinted at it. Depp claimed that the op-ed had affected his career but the actress countersued him for $100 million for accusing her of perpetration an “abuse hoax”.

While we all wait for the closing arguments in the case which are scheduled to take place on May 27, let me take a moment to tell all of you that we are no one to judge either one of them. They were both in a mutually abusive relationship but irrespective it is not our place to pass comments on their life or relationship. So, I would request all of you to be a little compassionate and sensitive while the court decides on the case.
