Helly Shah Sleeps Peacefully As ‘Zibah’ Qualifies For Oscars, Actress Says She’s Happy To Have Been A Part Of It

In a recent statement, actor Helly Shah stated that her movie Zibah is one of the top three Indian movies to have a theatrical screening in LA and is qualified for Oscar qualification. The actor tweeted the news and stated that he was feeling wonderful. She added that it is amazing to qualify for the Oscars and be screened in LA and none of them had any idea that they would get this far. It’s significant for the whole movie. She said that she is incredibly happy to be a part of it.

Even if her movie has been seen in Los Angeles, it still has a long way to go before it is even nominated. She said that this is a long race and it is a big deal that they were able to achieve so much already. She added that theirs is one of just three films out of 2500. Helly said that she hopes it is chosen and is well received. She said that they didn’t anticipate this when they first started filming the movie. Helly beamed that it is a significant accomplishment for the whole team.

Zibah is centred on female genital mutilation, and Helly hopes that after this one’s critical success, she will be offered more roles and projects. Nevertheless, she is very satisfied, proud, and happy. Helly said that she is glad she made the decision to take part. Making this decision will benefit her career and she said that this makes her sleep peacefully.
