I love myself a good murder mystery. But Bollywood and murder mysteries is a combination that I often can’t digest. However, in July 2021, I was blown away by a rather “pulpy thriller” film. Yep, I’m talking about Haseen Dillruba starring Taapsee Pannu, Vikrant Massey, and Harshvardhan Rane as leads. The murder mystery that also explored topics like lust and infidelity took the streaming platform- Netflix – by storm as the film received mix set of reviews from audiences and critics alike. And now, it might be doing that again. Yep, rumours going around have hinted that Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey just might be collaborating again for a sequel of Haseen Dillruba. I’m ecstatic!
The chatter going around in B-Town indicates that Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey might be coming together once again for a sequel of Haseen Dillruba. In fact, a source close to them said that it is because the movie made an impact on the Indian market like no other.

As per reports, a source said, “There is interest in the film because it broke into the Indian market in a way that no other Hindi movie on Netflix was able to. Its success can be attributed to its story and pulpy treatment. The producers and the streaming giant are pursuing the idea of a sequel. Writer Kanika Dhillon is toying with the idea of picking up the narrative from where the first part ended.”

In fact, when Taapsee Pannu was quizzed about whether a sequel of Haseen Dillruba is a possibility, the Shabaash Mithu actor said that all she could do was not deny any of the news. However, she did not even confirm it either.
Haseen Dillruba which came out in 2021 on Netflix followed the story of a mismatched couple – Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey who get married after an arranged marriage meeting. However, things go south when Taapsee’s character gets attracted to her husband’s cousin (played by Harshvardhan Rane).
