On Harry Style’ Birthday, 5 Songs By The 1D Singer That Explore Love, Heartbreak, And Healing

There are plenty of successful celebrities in the entertainment industry but no one compares to Harry Styles. With his charming persona and heartwarming smile, he rules the heart of his fans. The Dunkirk actor came into the limelight debuting as a member of boyband One Direction including Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik. The band gave us some of the most catchy and iconic songs which were full of emotions and became one of the best selling boybands of all time. In 2015, One Direction decided to take a break and it broke the hearts of every Directioner (including us). But they were quick to mend it again with their solo songs and Harry Styles decided to give us a shock by effortlessly describing the journey of love, heartbreak, and healing in his two record-breaking albums – Harry Styles and Fine Line and even won a Grammy award. Today, the singer-actor is celebrating his 28th birthday and we decided to jot down all the songs by him that explained to us the complexity of love, heartbreak, and healing which definitely broke our hearts but we’re not complaining because it makes us cry in a cool way, okay!

Here Are 5 Songs By Birthday Boy Harry Styles That Explore Love, Heartbreak, And Healing:

1. Night Changes

There’s no chance that we are gonna talk about Harry Styles and forget to mention One Direction. The song ‘Night Changes’ is written by the band with Jamie Scott, Julian Bunetta and John Ryan. The song is from the album Four and beautifully tells the story of gaining love along the way as time tends to slip away from our hands. The soulful music and heartwarming lyrics of ‘Night Changes’ with the melodious blend of 5 beautiful voices of the members set the romantic tone. It also poetically marks the beginning of the journey of love.

2. Two Ghosts

Harry wrote the song ‘Two Ghosts’ for his self-titled debut studio album with John Ryan, Julian Bunetta, Mitch Rowland, and Tyler Johnson. It’s a country-influenced folk-rock ballad performed on slide guitar and explores a relationship that did not last long and the singer trying to remember how it feels to have a heartbeat. This song will make you cry and will make you call your ex but we don’t recommend that option.

3. From The Dining Table

The song ‘From The Dining Table’ revolves around a person who finds himself defeated and hopeless after an unsuccessful relationship. The soulful track quite poetically explains the longing for love as the line goes, Even my phone misses your call, by the way.” And our favourite line from the song is definitely, “Comfortable silence is so overrated,” which makes us think that the singer is trying to say that moving on is quite over-rated. Okay Hazza, chill out!

4. Falling

The tear-jerker track ‘Falling’ is written by Harry and Kid Harpoon for his second solo album Fine Line. Wearing a gorgeous Gucci top as he swims in the water while playing the piano. In the soulful ballad, the actor is trying to explain a heartwrenching breakup and trying to be a better person after the relationship. The lines, “And there’s no one to blame but the drink and my wandering hands,” and, “And I can’t take it back, I can’t unpack the baggage you left,” leave the listeners crying as he continuous to drown in his own sorrows in the music video. Why so talented, Harold?

5. Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart

This song is highly recommended. Sung by pop-icon Ariana Grande, fans were shocked when they find out that it was written by Harry Styles. The emotional yet soul-touching track called ‘Just a Little Bit of Your Heart’ was released in 2014 when Harry was only 19 years old. The song revolves around a person who is trying to confess his undying love towards the lover as the line goes, “Just a little bit of your heart. Just a little bit is all I’m asking for.”

To say Harry Styles is the most genius lyricist in the entertainment industry is to state the obvious. The birthday boy is not someone who likes to follow the general path of songwriting and kind of finds his own angle and it adds his own magic into the songs. Although we are not getting a new album anytime soon. However, Harry will feature in the film Don’t Worry Darling starring Florence Pugh. The film is directed by Olivia Wilde who is none other than Harry’s ladylove.
