‘Freddy’ Teaser: Kartik Aaryan’s Character Reminds Us Of ‘Jekyll And Hyde’
Let’s be honest but our expectations of the content in Indian cinema are way more than what we are actually served these days, especially in Bollywood. However, there is a change in the approach now, and even actors are taking up unconventional characters and working on unique content to give us something new and interesting. And this thought struck me harder after watching the teaser of Freddy starring Kartik Aaryan which BTW has me already interested. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Jay Shewakramani, Freddy is a mystery-thriller that will be released on the OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar. The one-minute teaser has interesting elements to grab your attention.

So, from the teaser, we know that Kartik Aaryan will be playing the role of a dentist. A dentist who is an introvert is shy, lonely, honest, and basically has many adjectives to his character but…well, looks like there is much more to Kartik’s character. So for the first few seconds, we see some clips that depict the normal life of a dentist who is just doing his job, but very quickly this perception changes. Because in the end, we see him treating a dead patient. Yes, creepy but that’s where your interest in the movie actually builds. In fact, there is also a short scene in the Freddy teaser, where Kartik’s character does a creepy solo dance, in fact, more of a happy dance but that will give you a very eerie feeling.

From the teaser, Freddy looks like a movie that will be thrilling, dark, and can also have some unexpected twists.
