Disha Patani, Ali Fazal, And More Indian Celebs Show Support For Johnny Depp After Trial Verdict

After 6 years, Johnny Depp has finally got a reason to celebrate. Why? Well, because even though the verdict given by the jury was a mixed one, Depp was finally able to tell his side of the story. And ever since the verdict was announced, many celebrities and fans have come out in support of the actor. In fact, some Indian celebrities have reacted to the latest developments in the defamation case against Amber Heard and most of them side with Depp – Disha Patani, Ali Fazal, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and more.

No sooner was the verdict on Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation case out, than many celebrities – including Disha Patani, Ali Fazal, Neil Nitin Mukesh, and more – came out in support of Johnny Depp on their respective social media.

Disha Patani took to her Instagram story to share a picture of Johnny Depp in his costume of Jack Sparrow and wrote, “Nobody can ever replace you @johnnydepp”. Even Ali Fazal had put up a story before and after the verdict was out. Before the verdict he wrote, “Oh this is next level anticipation. Is anybody else watching this?” and after the verdict, he wrote, “Why??? Because this sets a precedent for some serious stuff for the future. Congratulations Mr Depp”

In fact, even Neil Nitin Mukesh commented on the verdict on his Instagram story wherein he wrote, “And there is justice”. Sophie Choudry came out in support of the actor and wrote in her story, “Tell the world Johnny. Tell them Johnny Depp, I, Johnny Depp, a man, I’m a victim too of domestic violence and I know it’s a fair fight, and see how many people believe or side with you. 6 years later he told his truth and won both in & out of court.” Even Kushal Tandon took to Twitter to react to the verdict.

Johnny Depp had sued Amber Heard for defamation after the latter wrote an op-ed in the Washington in 2018, claiming that she was a survivor of domestic abuse and indicated that Depp was the abuser. And after weeks of trial, the jury gave out a somewhat mixed verdict wherein they found both of them guilty of defamation.
