‘Cuttputlli’ Teaser: Akshay Kumar’s Psychological Thriller Is All About Playing Mind Games With A Notorious Serial Killer
I love a good thriller – especially the ones that have a cop-serial killer trope. Oh man, those ones don’t just get intense but also keep you on the edge. I love how rather than just showing violence, they focus on how the mind games that go on between the protagonist cop and the serial killer who has been going around causing chaos. What I enjoy in them is that for the longest time, you don’t know who is leading and who is chasing who – one move and the whole game can change. Uff! I can go on gushing about how much I love them or I can tell you about a thriller that has all these elements is set to release soon. Yep, a psychological thriller, Cuttputlli, is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar and the project is headlined by none other than Akshay Kumar and Rakul Preet.
On August 19, the makers of Cuttputlli dropped its teaser and it consists of various shots of Akshay Kumar playing a cop, Arjan Sethi, who focuses on using mind games to catch a serial killer that is running around town. It also seems as Rakul Preet will play an important role in the upcoming thriller. Just from the very first second, the intense music is sure to keep you hooked.

Sharing the teaser of Cuttputlli on his Twitter, Akshay Kumar wrote, “Yeh khel power ka nahi, mind ka hai. Aur is mind game mein aap aur main… sab #Cuttputlli hain. Cuttputlli is an intense psychological thriller starring Akshay Kumar as the lead and directed by Ranjit M Tiwari. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Bell Bottom and Ek Villain Returns writer Aseem Arrora. The movie is shot by Rajeev Ravi, the National Award-winning cinematographer. And it is produced by Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh under the banner Pooja Entertainment.
Cuttputlli is set to release on Disney+ Hotstar on September 2.
