‘Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach’ Trailer: With Evidence Stacked Up Against His Client, Will Madhav Mishra Be Able To Win This Case?
A good legal thriller is hard to find. I’m a die-hard fan of legal crime thrillers. From How To Get Away With Murder to Criminal Justice, I’ve binged on it all and now, Criminal Justice is coming up with a season 3, Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach. This Hotstar special series stars Pankaj Tripathi and Shweta Basu Prasad. This Rohan Sippy directorial, produced by Applause Entertainment in collaboration with BBC Studios is all set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on August 26. And the makers just dropped the trailer of the much-awaited series.
The trailer of Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach opens with Pankaj Tripathi’s Madhav Mishra opening the door to a woman seeking his help for a case. A child actor, Zara Ahuja has been murdered and her brother Mukul Ahuja is the prime suspect. With wit and humour in his kitty, Madhav Mishra sets out to fight the toughest case of his career as all odds and evidence are stacked up against his client. A twisted case, a rebellious teenage client and a strong-willed Assistant Public Prosecutor, Lekha, against him, will Madhav Mishra be able to find the answers he is seeking? While Pankaj Tripathi reprises his role as Advocate Madhav Mishra, who doesn’t seem to have simple or seedha in his syllabus, Shweta Basu Prasad plays Lekha. The series also stars Swastika Mukherjee, Purab Kohli, Aditya Gupta, Deshna Dugad and Gaurav Gera.
Speaking about Madhav Mishra in Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach, Pankaj Tripathi said that his character is relatable as he comes across as “everybody’s lawyer”. Calling Madhav a versatile lawyer, the actor said that his character has the ability to simplify tough concepts and put his clients at ease. In this season, Madhav Mishra will be seen taking on a case and different tasks for a client that he’s unsure of.

Shweta Basu Prasad expressed her pleasure to have an opportunity to be a part of the legacy of Criminal Justice and working with Pankaj Tripathi. Speaking about her character Lekha in Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach, the actress said that she wrote a backstory to understand her character and figure out her responses to Madhav Mishra. She also called Pankaj Tripathi one of the most graceful co-stars she has ever had.
