From Anurag Kashyap To Jennifer Aniston, These Celebs Prove You Can Be Friends With Exes Even After Divorce

I think one of the saddest moments in life is when you have to end a relationship with someone you genuinely care about and love. Let’s face it, it’s not easy to end a relationship – especially when the two of y’all decided on happily ever after when getting married. Of course, the situation changes when there’s bad blood between y’all but what about when nothing really went wrong but yet wasn’t working? Those divorces, if you ask me, hurt the most. However, enough with the sappy. There are some people who realise that even though their marriage didn’t work, the love doesn’t need to end and can take the shape of friendship. In fact, some of the celebs of the world are the epitome of being friends after divorce.

Yep, whether it is Hollywood or Bollywood, heartbreaks are heartbreaks and everyone goes through it when a marriage ends. But I guess what makes it a tad bit easier is when you can stay friends with your exes and share a good relationship with them. From Aamir Khan, and Anurag Kashyap to Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Aniston, and more are some of the celebrities who have not only divorced their respective partners but still have managed to have good relationships and friendships with them.

Here’s a list of celebrities that share a good friendship with their exes:

1. Kriti Kulhari and Saahil Sehgal

Four More Shots fame Kriti Kulhari got married to her now ex-husband Saahil Sehgal in 2016 and after around five years, she took to her social media on April 1, 2021, to announce that they were going different ways. The two however have immense love for each other and are still really good friends.

And now, even after years, the two still have a lot of love and respect for each other. They are often seen hosting get-togethers and going for family meals.

And it is a similar situation with his second ex-wife Kiran Rao. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao met in 2005 on the sets of Lagaan. After which, they got married and even conceived a son Azad via IVF. But it didn’t work out as they announced their separation last year.

Anurag Kashyap first married Aarti Bajaj in 1997 and then later on divorced in 2009. The ex-couple even has a daughter Aaliyah Kashyap. As for his marriage with Kalki Koechlin, the two met in 2009 and started living together. Two years later, the two got decided to get married in 2011, but later on, in 2015, the two announced their legal divorce. However, there seems to be no bad blood between all three of them.

In fact, recently Anurag Kashyap took to his social media to post a picture of both his ex-wives Kalki Koechlin and Aarti Bajaj and called them the “two pillars” of his life.

4. Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt

Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were such an ideal couple. Though the couple met in 1994, they didn’t start dating until the year 1998. The two went on to have a $1 million wedding in 2000 after Pitt proposed to her in 1999. After 5 years of marriage, the two decided to go their separate ways. However, they’re still closest friends and share a healthy relationship.

5. Hrithik Roshan and Sussane Khan

Let’s all agree that Hrithik Roshan and Sussane Khan made one of the hottest couples in B-Town. The ex-couple had gotten married in 2000 and had two adorable boys. However, things started going south and they eventually parted ways in 2014. However, they have not only managed to stay friends but are also seen going on double dates with their respective partners.

6. Farhan Akhtar and Adhuna Bhabani

Yes, Farhan Akhtar is now happily married to Shibani Dandekar but he was also once married to an English hair stylist, Adhuna Bhabani. The two got married in the year 2000 and after being together for 17 long years, they parted ways in 2017. The duo even have two daughters together – Shakya Akhtar and Akira Akhtar.

7. Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman

Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman got married in August 2016 and then filed for divorce after almost 5 years in June 2021. The two even share two daughters – Olive (9 years old) and Frankie (7 years old). But now, she not only is friends with him but also with his new wife, Allie Michler. The three of them often hang out and spend a lot of time together.

These celebs are perfect examples that even though a marriage ends, you don’t necessarily have to have bad blood. And exes don’t necessarily have to be avoided.
