‘Doctor G’ Trailer: Ayushmann Khurrana Is The Only Male Student In An All-Woman Department Of Gynaecology. Looks Fun!

People who love watching films always look for movies that have a different story to say, something which is offbeat and new. Lately, our expectations from the Bollywood film industry have been really low, however, with Brahmastra, we did see an attempt to deliver something fresh. But now, the same kind of potential can be seen in the movie featuring Ayushmann Khurrana titled Doctor G. Yes, the actor who loves exploring unconventional topics in his movie is back to again doing the same, and this time he will take us on a hilarious journey of the only male gynaecologist student in the department. The plot itself sounds fun, right? Doctor G has been directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and along with Ayushmann, also features Rakul Preet Singh, Shefali Shah, and Sheeba Chaddha in pivotal roles. The trailer of the movie was released on September 20, Tuesday and it already has us going a bit impatient for the final product.

Doctor G will be released under the banner of Junglee Pictures and has been written by a group of amazing writers like Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat, Vishal Wagh, and Anubhuti Kashyap. Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen playing the role of a male gynae in Doctor G, who is not really keen on taking this medical practice. You ask, why? That’s what this movie will most likely deal with. The trailer of Doctor G gives us a ride of what is to be expected from the movie. Ayushmann Khurrana navigates the journey as a gynaecologist, which is a profession that is quite female-dominated. From the trailer, we know that Ayushmann does not want to make his career in gynaecology as he feels the serious dilemma of treating pregnant women with no clue as a male whatsoever. He wishes to get orthopaedic in his medical school but looks like he did end up being in the gynaecology department. The trailer also introduces us to the character of Rakul Preet Singh, who is also a medical student and is a bully in college. Shefali Shah plays the character of a professor who has some life-changing advice for Ayushmann’s character, one being that he needs to “lose the male touch” to become a gynae. Well, we are yet to see how he navigates through this life lesson. Sheeba Chaddha is the mother of Ayushmann’s character who does not leave a chance to pass sarcastic and hilarious taunts at his son’s profession, at least that’s the impression we get from the trailer. We can anticipate some rib-tickling dialogues in the movie, the trailer itself serves us with some of them. The wait for Doctor G is not very long as it is all set to hit the theatres on October 14, 2022.

Well, my only concern with the movie is to see how Ayushmann Khurrana brings something new to the table with his acting skills. We have already seen him play off-beat characters in comic roles, and I doubt that Doctor G also might end up being the same. Moreover, I do have high hopes for the dialogues in this movie, which seems to be the main attraction.
