Aruna Irani Still Can’t Believe People Accepted Her As Sanjay Dutt’s Mother In ‘Rocky’ And Then Seducing Him In Another Film
One of the most fascinating things that I find about the film industry is that the actors oscillate between so many relationships with other characters, and sometimes it kinda gets questionable. Let me explain. In Ram-Leela, we see Priyanka Chopra, even just for a song, is seducing Ranveer Singh, but then in Dil Dhadakne Do, the two play the role of siblings. Yep, weird when you look at it like that, ain’t it? In fact, this is not a recent phenomenon. Aruna Irani also questioned it. Yep, in a recent interview, she questioned how people accepted her playing the mother of Sanjay Dutt in one movie and then saw her seducing him in the other.

Aruna Irani recalls how shocked and surprised she was to see people accepting different roles a single actor plays. She gives her own example saying that people easily accepted her as Sanjay Dutt’s mother in Rocky and then seduced him in the very next movie.

Speaking about working with Sanjay Dutt who is 13 years her junior, Aruna Irani said, “I had worked with a majority of film actors and there is no specific actor whom I would like to name, as everyone was extremely nice to work with. I even enjoyed working with Sanju (Sanjay Dutt). I played his mother in his debut film and seduced him in his next film (laughs). I still don’t understand how people used to accept it in those times and even now.”
