‘Anupamaa: Namaste America’ A Prequel To ‘Anupamaa’ Dropped It’s Teaser And It’s All Shades Of Feminism
One of the most loved Hindi serials on television right now is hands-down Anupamaa. The show has won hearts in so many Indian households because it breaks the norms of a patriarchal society and talks about women’s empowerment. And seeing the popularity of the show, the makers have gone ahead and decided to treat their viewers with a Disney+ Hotstar exclusive prequel. The prequel titled Anupamaa: Namaste America will star Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Sarita Joshi as leads. The makers of the show have decided to tease the audience by releasing a teaser of the show that is set to release on April 25, 2022.

On April 18, the official account of Disney+ Hotstar shared a teaser of Anupamaa: Namaste America starring Rupali Ganguly as Anupamaa with Sudhanshu Pandey as Vanraj, Sarita Joshi as Moti Baa, Alpana Buch as Baa, Arvind Vaidya as Bapuji and Ekta Sariya as Dolly. The show is set 17 years into Anupamaa’s past, the time when she wanted to visit America to fulfill her dream.

The teaser begins with members of the family discussing who will take care and look after the kids if Anupamaa goes to America. Later on, you can see the Baa Bahoo Aur Baby fame Sarita Joshi commenting on how a father has equal responsibility towards the kids and to raising them.
