He just upped the ante for all future Best Men and Maids of Honour by dropping the promo of ‘Kesariya’, a lovely song from Brahmāstra starring his two soon-to-be-wedded besties, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. How do you top that for a bestie wedding hype Instagram post, haan? The song is perfect, it’s a romantic track sung by G.O.A.T Arijit Singh, and I am oversharing here but I’ve been humming the song repeatedly since it dropped this morning. The couple looks adorable on-screen, decked in yellow hues, reflecting those of their pre-wedding festivities that began today with a mehendi ceremony at Alia’s. Karan Johar, Alia’s mentor and Brahmāstra producer also shared it. And so did Mouni Roy. And I was waiting and waiting for Big B to do the honours. And well, he finally has! Amitabh Bachchan shared a sweet wish for Brahmastra’s Shiva and Isha, aka costars Ranbir and Alia.

The Ranbir Alia wedding is THE wedding to beat all weddings, and the hype is real. But the couple has gone to great lengths to keep it all lowkey. In fact, nobody knew for sure what the wedding date was, until a couple of hours ago, when Neetu Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni stepped out to meet the paparazzi and confirm that the wedding was tomorrow, i.e., on April 14, 2022, at Vastu, the Bandra home of Ranbir Kapoor.
Today, the lowkey mehendi ceremony at Alia Bhatt’s home saw the Kapoors, Jains and Bhatts descend in their finery, along with some more friends. Spotted were Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Rima Jain, Adar Jain, Anisa Jain, Ayan Mukerji, Karan Johar, Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and more. Mahesh Bhatt arrived with daughter Pooja Bhatt, while Soni Razdan came with daughter Shaheen Bhatt.
