Amber Heard’s Psychologist Claims She Suffered From PTSD Due To Sexual And Physical Abuse By Johnny Depp

In the most recent update about the Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial, Jennifer Grey came out with a memoir claiming that Depp was jealous and paranoid while they were together. Depp also ended his testimony by asserting that he was a victim of domestic abuse. Netizens all over came forth and showed Depp support and even started a petition demanding that Heard be kicked out of Aquaman 2. However, in an interesting turn of events, a psychologist has testified against Depp saying that he physically and sexually assaulted her.

Amber Heard suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder or PTSD due to the abuse and assaults she faced from Johnny Depp, psychologist Dawn Hughes claimed. The sexual assaults included being forced to perform oral sex and Depp having penetrated her with a liquor bottle. In Depp’s ongoing libel trial against Heard, he has accused her of defamation for claiming she was a victim of domestic abuse in a newspaper op-ed piece.

However, Hughes’ testimony is the complete opposite of the testimony of the psychologist hired by Depp’s lawyers who claimed that Heard was faking her PTSD symptoms and instead had borderline and histrionic personality disorders. Hughes refuted that Heard had any personality disorder.

Hughes is the first witness that has spoken for Heard rather than against her. The psychologist further said that there is proof of many of the abuse allegations made by Heard including apologies and admissions that Depp has made to Heard and admissions via text messages that Depp sent to his friends talking about his mistreatment of Heard when he was drunk. Hughes said that Heard spoke of this abuse to her therapist while it was happening.

Hughes also said that Heard acknowledged that she at times has shoved Depp, called him names and insulted his parenting. However, she says that there is a difference between a smaller person hitting a larger one and that Depp’s violence towards Heard was intimidating and threatening but Heard’s violence did not have the same effect on Depp. “That’s just physics; that’s just proportional force,” she said according to TOI.

Hugh further claimed that a lot of Depp’s violence came from his obsessive jealous nature. Depp insisted that Heard avoid nude scenes when she worked and claimed that she had affairs with actors Billy Bob Thornton and James Franco. Furthermore, according to Hughes, if Heard was working, Depp would allegedly call the director and other crew saying that he “had eyes” there who would call him if Heard fraternized improperly.

Heard, who identifies as bisexual according to the treatment notes presented at the beginning of the trial also faced interrogations regarding her interactions with women. Hughes further claimed that Depp manually penetrated Heard after watching one of her interactions with a woman. Hughes said that Heard got accused of both men and women hitting on her.

Hughes said that her claims come from the  29 hours of interviews she had with Heard, an interview with the therapist and a review of court documents.
