Shivaji Satam AKA ACP Pradyuman Reveals ‘CID’ Might Make A Comeback. The Excitement Is Real!

I think most people my age would admit that they grew up watching CID I remember that my friends and I were huge CID  fanatics and I even had a whole phase where I wanted to be a cop. I was in love with the characters of Daya, Abhijeet and Dr Salunkhe. However, I thoroughly enjoyed and still enjoy ACP Pradyuman’s character (played by Shivaji Satam). Regardless of how iconically memeable the show is, we cannot forego how timeless ACP Pradyuman is. Shivaji Satam recently opened up about his life post CID and the possibility of the show returning, which is giving me all the nostalgia.

Shivaji Satam opened up about his life after the end of CID  and what has he been up to since. However, luck hasn’t exactly been on the veteran actor’s side as he has not been getting good offers. Rather than leaving us in the lurch questioning if there is any gadbad, the actor honestly said that he hasn’t been getting a lot of offers. Moreover, the ones he does get don’t excite him. 

However, the CID  actor was last seen in a small role in the 2021 movie Haseen Dillruba. He said, “But we can’t do anything,” he sighs and adds, “It’s my bad luck that no powerful characters are being written. It’s a loss on both sides. As an actor, I miss out on good work and the audience misses out on good actors.” He says that he usually keeps getting cop-roles and does not want to do the same thing everywhere.

Considering that rumours about the return of our childhood favourite CID  are in the air, Satam was asked about this as well. When asked if he would be open to playing ACP Pradyuman if the show restarts, he was more than happy to. Satam said according to reports, “Tomorrow (if) CID  starts again, I’ll be right in the front to do the project. I’m not tired of playing the character, but tired of being home.”

Honestly? Seeing veteran and dedicated actors such as Shivaji Satam having trouble in getting good roles breaks my heart. I really hope CID  is able to restart not only so I can selfishly delve into my nostalgia but so that we can all hear ACP Pradyuman say “Daya, darwaaza tod do!” more times.
