Women have the right to choose how they want to dress, and it is not anyone’s place to tell them otherwise. But no matter what, a woman’s dress is always to blame when something goes wrong. Why? The conflict between author Chetan Bhagat and actor Uorfi Javed has made it very clear. The former blamed Uorfi Javed’s dress for “distracting” youth. Oh, and could you tell us how? The author while talking at a Literature festival had said that boys these days, instead of focusing on their careers are getting distracted by looking at Uorfi Javed’s pictures and dresses. To this, Uorfi Javed put out her strong statement and bashed the author for unnecessarily making comments on her dresses. She raised the valid statement as to why a woman’s dress is to be blamed for anything and everything. And we could not agree more!
But, we have just one question, if a youth is not focusing on their studies and is busy scrolling on Instagram, how is one girl and her dressing style to be blamed? Maybe just accept the men on social media, who have vulgar mindsets? And how do the people judging and blaming a girl’s dress will justify the creepy behaviour of men on the internet? Like, recently Uorfi Javed took to her story to show the most pathetic question asked by a user to her, “How are you b***bs?” The actor-turned-social media influencer gave a hard-hitting and sarcastic reply to the user.
