This Bride Ditched Traditional Mehendi And Opted For White Henna To Match Her Bridal Lehenga. We Love This

By  |

There’s no denying that brides today are going against the grain and making their wedding truly a personal and unique affair. From getting a personalised monogram of the initials designed to throwing themed wedding celebrations that incorporate the bespoke elements, brides are going the extra mile to make their big day special. It is only obvious that their bridal look is anything but basic. Rather than conforming to the rules, brides are tossing the standardised look book and experimenting with all sorts of fashion and beauty trends, just like this bride did. She wore a white lehenga on her wedding and if that wasn’t experimental enough, she ditched the traditional henna and got white mehendi that perfectly matched her bridal outfit. We love!

Brides wearing non-red outfits for their wedding don’t surprise us anymore. We have seen plenty of millennial women lately who have dressed in unconventional colours like blue, yellow and even some striking neon hues. However, an eccentric henna colour like white did floor us. Every bride spends hours on finding the perfect henna artist and design that goes with her bridal look but this bride here took it a notch higher by picking the most gorgeous and quirkiest mehendi design we have even seen. Plus, she complemented it so well with her lehenga of the same colour which made tied the whole look together beautifully. Take a look.

However, she is not the first one to adorn her hands with a white henna. A lot of brides have snubbed the rich and royal red henna for the sublime and stunning white mehendi for their wedding. White mehendi is created from body adhesive and stays for a week; the same period of time your traditional mehendi does. It looks incredibly pretty and on deeper skin tones and that’s why Indian brides pull it off quite well.

If you want to step out of your comfort zone and experiment with your bridal mehendi, white henna isn’t the only option. There are a bunch of other henna colours and trendy looks that you can try your hands at (pun intended). Here are some unconventional henna designs that you can bookmark for your wedding.

Here’s a glitter mehendi design for brides who think the OG brown henna tattoo is too outdated. Mix up some colours and specks of glitter in your traditional mehendi to make it more aesthetic and artistic in a jiffy.

A variant of the white mehendi that we are absolutely in love with. If you are thinking of getting an old-style henna, say Alata or Mahur dye, here is a modern-day mehendi design for the millennial brides. A white acrylic coupled with alta makes for the perfect amalgamation of traditional and trendy henna look.

Why just neon bridal outfits, you can also go with neon mehendi that not only looks mermerising but also glows in the dark. We suggest getting it for your sangeet or cocktail where you could flaunt your glamourous radium henna for the gram worthy wedding pictures.
