Bhumi Pednekar Rocks Pantsuits And Pencil Skirts For The Promotions for Durgamati. We Are Totally Digging The Girl Boss Vibe

This whole week, Bhumi Pednekar was busy promoting her film Durgamati that released digitally today on Amazon Prime and we were busy keeping an eye on what styles and silhouettes she has picked for the press junkets. And, we can say that she didn’t disappoint. But before we dive into all the stunning promotional looks, let’s talk about the subtle detail in all her outfits that you may have missed. No, it isn’t the ‘all work, no play’ theme going on. We noticed that most of her looks featured a monochromatic colour palette of black, white and grey which prompted us to think if it is to demonstrate the black and white characters in the film. Well, we don’t know for sure (it’s a grey area lol) but it does seem like it.

Anyway, moving on. Bhumi sported a bunch of super stylish looks that are seriously making us miss dressing up for work. Why? Because, Bhumi’s promotional looks include classic workwear staples like tailored pantsuits, pencil skirts and form-fitting dresses that are apt for office. However, she did experiment with some fresh styles like a shirt dress paired with a harness and a strappy top teamed with a white shirt and slit skirt. In every outfit, she looks like she means business and is giving us major boss girl vibes. Her stylist Pranita Shetty deserves a thumbs up for keeping actor’s fashion game chic and on point.

While there are absolutely no plans for us to return to our workplace anytime soon, Bhumi Pednekar’s promotional looks for Durgamati are keeping our spirits high and alive. Here are 5 outfits she wore while promoting her film that are perfect to add to your workwear wardrobe, whenever you do return back to your desk (which we hope is soon).

Bhumi kickstarted the promotions in this quirky monochrome ensemble by label Saaksha & Kinni. She wore a classic white shirt and a high-waisted pencil skirt with thigh-high slit and threw on a fanciful strappy top over the shirt. We love how the addition of a simple crochet top turned the basic pairing of a solid black skirt and white shirt into this uber-glam outfit. She wore black pumps to complete the look.

Bhumi opted for this handwoven silk ikat pant-suit by Alamelu that I instantly fell in love with. This seems like the perfect desk to dinner outfit that you can count on post work. The double-breasted elongated jacket with the loose-cut pants are the hottest pantsuit trend of the year and Bhumi does this right by pairing it with studded Louboutin shoes.

This Nikhil Thampi number with a tie-neck shirt and a body-hugging calf-length dress in check print is equal parts sexy and sophisticated and we want this STAT. The corset style cut and the button details on the waist are giving us major retro fashion feels. Full points for styling the outfit with bright red heels that are breaking the monotony of the monochrome look.

For once, Bhumi snubbed the neutral tones and picked a playful pantsuit which featured a colour riot of vibrant hues and eccentric prints of floral and abstract design. The relaxed fit jacket and pants are perfect for your Friyay OOTD. The cool and peppy number is totally on our workwear wishlist.

There are more than one ways to style an understated white dress and let Bhumi (and her stylist) show you how. She styled the Rianne pleated white layered dress with a black harness from Zara and made it one of the coolest outfits we have seen in a while. Is it just us or it looks like total femme fatale look to you?
