Alia Bhatt recently revealed her makeup routine in an interview with a popular magazine, but in doing so, she also ended up revealing her husband Ranbir Kapoorâs yet another toxic trait. Alia was talking about how she unconventionally applies her lipstick, and then she rubs off the excess because Ranbir Kapoor does not like it when she wears dark colours as he likes the ânatural colour of her lipsâ. If it was not already established that Ranbir is a walking red flag, this surely did. Regarding this, a journalist took to Twitter to talk about oneâs controlling behaviour and how thereâs a difference between letting your partner know your opinion and enforcing it on them.
Journalist Rituparna Chatterjee took to Twitter to talk about the difference between having an opinion on your partnerâs appearance and forcing them to change as per your opinion. She said that it is okay to your partner that you donât like their hair, makeup or beard as long as you are not forcing them to change said aspects of their appearance. Rituparna further added that it is okay to love your partner and not like their choices. But, she also wrote that it is not okay for someone to use love as a tool to make your partner change.
Furthermore, Rituparna also added that one must not give up control over their choices in the name of love without asking and understanding why you are doing so. This stands specifically true for women because we are told from childhood what to wear, what to eat, how to laugh, how to sit, and so much more.

Rituparna also hoped that Alia Bhatt stood up for herself as she does not lack agency.
This is not the first time that Alia Bhatt has talked about Ranbirâs controlling behaviour. Previously, she said that he asks her to keep her voice under certain decibels because he does not like it when she raises her voice.
This new revelation by Alia Bhatt had the internet talking about how Ranbir Kapoor is a red flag.
