A Twitter User Asked How To Lose Weight Without Exercise Or Giving up Cheese . You Can Laugh, But This Is All Of Us Right Now.

When the lockdown was announced, everyone was hit with this sudden desire to utilize this time to get in shape. Honestly, it was more annoying than the new year syndrome and more contagious than the coronavirus. However, it didn’t last long. It wasn’t entirely their fault that this lockdown was so long that some of them lost weight and got back to the same number on weight scale they started off with (maybe more in some cases). If you think I am one of them, I am not. I am the last person you’d see waking up at 5 am and going for a run. Hell, I sleep at that time most nights. And don’t even get me started on dieting. Food has been my only coping mechanism in the pandemic, so there was clearly no chance I was gonna give up on fries, although I actually could lose a few pounds.

Turns out I am not the only one who feels this way. The only thing a lot of people did during the pandemic was munch like a hogger and sleep all day, which kinda added up to the lockdown weight. Plus, the schedule has made us so freaking lazy that working out is no less than a nightmare. So, how do we deal with those extra pounds? On Twitter, someone asked for help from fellow users on how to lose weight without exercising or diet and honestly, this is something I would do. She wrote, “Looking to lose 10lbs in a way that involves zero exercise and unlimited cheese and bacon. Serious suggestions only.” That was a legit question, guys. She asked for serious suggestions but only got seriously sarcastic ones.

She also added, “I should mention I also want bread and pasta still. And alcohol. And sugar,” because well, you can’t leave out on any details. The responses on her tweet are hilarious but spoiler alert, don’t help at all. A user wrote, “Leave some beef or chicken out on the counter for 2 days before you eat it.” Another Twitterati wrote, “Get an inflammatory bowel disease that ruins your appetite and equates food consumption with pain. source: me.” Lol.

A user wrote, “Convert $100 to British currency. You should lose about 10 pounds in the exchange. Provides the opportunity to lose more pounds too.” Very funny. A user also wrote, “Get COViD. 4 weeks, suffering with this God-forsaken virus. But, I’m down 12lbs. If I actually survive, bathing suit season is gonna BE LIT!!!” Well, that’s just dark.

I am impressed with the creativity and sarcasm but kinda disappointed on how people aren’t taking this poor girl seriously. I had big hopes and was counting on some practical answers too. And, then I finally got some. For anyone who’ve wished to shed some pounds without having to work out much or cutting back on their favourite food, these are some solutions you can give a try.

A user suggested, “Eat between 12 pm and 7 pm with meals at normal time ie lunch and dinner. Stand while working 1/2 hour of each working hour. Drink green tea in AM. At each meal have at least 2 servings of veggies and end a meal with a fruit.” Another user wrote, “You don’t have to stop eating anything, just try adding more to your plate. like protein, fiber and different colored veggies.” A user shared, “Go for a 30 minute walk every day! Enjoy it! Or a 10 minute walk before getting in the car to drive to work! Not really exercise, just stretching your legs.” Doesn’t that count as exercise? Well, I guess you’d have to do at least that much. Not me, though.

So, if you’ve ever wished to lose weight without have to move a finger and putting in much efforts you can most certainly try these suggestions from the Twitter clan. PS, let me know if they helped.
