5 Stunning Makeup Looks To Recreate On Valentine’s Day, Whether Or Not You Have A Date

Oh look, February 14th is here. That means a special date with your SO is on the cards. Whether you planned a romantic dinner for them or you are waiting for them to surprise you with a mindblowing date (they better), the important thing is that you sweep them off their feet. You have got to look the best in a sexy outfit, nicely done hair and a gorgeous makeup look. Even if you don’t have a date, we hope you are not spending the day on your couch watching stories of happy couples on social media. Are you? Although Valentine’s Day is romanticized as the day dedicated to love and relationships, it is not necessary that you have a partner. You can simply celebrate the day with your friends or indulge in self-love while looking stunningly single.

While it is a day of love for all those in relationships–happy or complicated–, for singles (gimme hi5), it is just a sappy holiday when the world turns into those romcom movies that you hate, but secretly wish you could star in. You might not have a date, but you can have an amazing time with your girls, Insta-worthy pictures and even score a date with the cute guy standing at the bar checking you out. My point is, whether or not you have a Valentine, this day is worth glamming up, going out and having a gala time, because it’s also a weekend. Since it’s settled that you don’t really need a date for V-day but a trendy and traffic-stopping makeup look, here are some celeb-inspired looks that you can recreate and look fab.

If you are someone who waits for a special occasion to bring out your inner makeup artist and try out new beauty trends, this is your day. This popsicle lip with a blurred lip colour on the edges is such a cool Valentine’s look. To achieve it wear a creamy lip colour and smoothen out the edges by lining your lips with some concealer and blend. Pair it with lots of mascara and blush.

Concoct a fun eye look with a bunch of pastel eyeshadow colours with your neon dress. This looks works perfectly well for both daytime and nighttime look. Kajal Aggarwal has worn purple shadow on an orange base and highlighted the inner corners with icy blue shadow. Wear a glossy nude and let your vibrant eye makeup do all the talking.

Nothing beats a sultry kohled eye look combined with a matte pink pout. For the makeup minimalists, this the most effortless and understated look that you achieve in a jiffy. Line the upper lid with a black kajal like the Revlon 24 hr Kajal in Intense Black and the lower lid with a brown one much like Kiro’s Hi-def Soothing Eyeliner Pencil in Earth Brown. Smudge it out for a softer look. Finish the look with a pink lip shade in matte texture.

Valentine’s makes for a perfect opportunity to get artsy and experimental with your makeup. Try a creative graphic liner look by extending your usual wing upward to the lid. You could use RENÉE Cosmetics Kohlistic Pointy End Sketch Pen Eyeliner for a smooth flick. Complete the look with a berry lip with specks of shimmer if you are putting on something shimmery.

For those looking for a pretty and dreamy makeup look that’s glamourous but not too OTT, check out this monochrome nude look that Kiara wore with her red outfit. All you need to do to score this look is blend a nude eyeshadow base and wear nothing but lots and lots of mascara. For the lip, wear a gorgeous brown nude shade and add a hint of blush. And, you’re set.
