Masaba Gupta looked absolutely stunning at the launch of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai, dressed in a gorgeous custom creation from her own label. But sadly, trolls just can’t seem to resist raining on someone’s parade. When they started questioning whether she had gotten lip fillers, the fashion designer didn’t let the negativity get to her. With confidence and grace, she responded by simply stating the truth that she hasn’t got fillers in her lip, she’s just black and also thinks she’s stunning. We agree!

But What Exactly Are These Lip Fillers?

Lip fillers, also known as lip injections or lip augmentation, are cosmetic treatments that involve injecting a dermal filler substance into the lips. These fillers are usually made of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance found in the body that helps to keep the skin plump and hydrated. When injected into the lips, the filler adds volume and shape, creating a fuller and more defined pout.

The Procedure

The procedure for getting lip fillers is relatively simple and can be done in a doctor’s office or a medical spa. Before the injection, a numbing cream or local anaesthesia is applied to the lips to minimize discomfort. Then, using a fine needle, the filler is injected into the lips in a series of small injections. The entire process usually takes around 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the extent of the treatment.

Results And Aftercare

The results of lip fillers are usually visible immediately after the injection, although some swelling and bruising may occur for the first few days. The filler typically lasts for several months, after which the treatment will need to be repeated to maintain the desired results.

While there is controversy surrounding the procedure, it remains a popular choice for those looking to achieve a more plump and luscious look.
