Get The Look: Celeb Hairstyles That Deserve A Shot This Year

Get The Look: Celeb Hairstyles That Deserve A Shot This Year

It’s only January, but 2017 is already looking up — at least when it comes to hair and beauty. Award season comes with a fair share of hair and makeup inspiration and if we could spend the rest of our lives recreating those looks, we’d die happy. Yep, that’s how good it’s been so far.

From the Golden Globes to the Filmfare Awards, and all the celebrity appearances in the middle, we’ve compiled a list of styles you’re going to love and got to try in 2017.

Alia Bhatt’s Bushy Ponytail

The first one on this list is also the easiest to achieve. Before you iron out your hair, make a section from both your ears to your crown. Clip that up and tie the rest in a tight, low ponytail. Now iron out the top section so it’s smooth and flat, and add it to the ponytail with another rubber band. Take a skinny curling tong and curl the hair in the pony tail. Open out the curls with your fingers and you’re done! You can leave it as is or spray it for a little hold.

Chrissy Teigen’s Mohawk Ponytail

Another ponytail, but this one could be a little harder. Braid just one section of hair starting from your forehead and stop when you reach the back of your head. Secure it with an elastic. Now take all your hair and tie it in a ponytail as high as possible. Take one section of hair from under your ponytail and wrap it around the rubber band. To achieve the volume Chrissy’s ponytail has, you’ll need to backcomb it from top and spray for hold.

Deepika Padukone’s Slick Side Part

If your hair is already poker straight, this should be easy. If not, what are you waiting for? Grab your hair iron and begin straightening it from root to tip. Once you’ve managed to straighten everything out, make a side parting and tuck both sections behind your ears and clip it with a hairpin. You could even apply a tiny drop of hair gel to prevent fly aways and keep it looking smooth through the evening.

Kylie Jenner’s Sharp Bob

Now, of course, you’ll need to cut your hair to have it looking as slick and chic as Kylie’s. And while I don’t advise anyone to go platinum blonde like her, I would love to see more of this haircut on people. You could do what she does and get a wig instead!

Sonam Kapoor’s Braided Bun

This is probably the hardest look in the list but it’s so gorgeous, how could we not give it a shot!? You’ll need to make three sections. First part your hair down the middle. Once that’s done, from the top of your head, make two sections that go below your ears. Clip them away. With the rest of the hair at the back, tie a ponytail and braid it. Wrap the braid around to create a bun. Secure it with U-pins. Braid both the sections in the front, one after the other and add it to the braided bun. Add a jewelled headband on top to finish it!
