Tamannaah Bhatia Reveals Using Spit To Heal Her Acne And We’ve Given Up On Celebrity Skincare Hacks

Tamannaah Bhatia, who has always been known for her radiant complexion and stunning on-camera presence, recently shocked fans with a somewhat unusual skincare confession. In a recent interview, the actress revealed a do-it-yourself home remedy for acne that left more than a few people, including me, and it took me a whole day to even get over this hack. Celebrities are known to spill their beauty secrets, but this one was anything but typical and it’s got everyone buzzing but mostly because it does not even make sense.

Tamannaah Bhatia Reveals Her Acne Treatment Hack

During an interview with The Lallantop, Tamannaah was asked about a hack for eliminating pimples. Tamannaah quickly responded, spit and most importantly, morning spit. The host and audience were taken aback by her one-word response. Laughter and confusion filled the air as she remained steadfast, declaring that it really works (we wanna know how with science-backed evidence). She continued by saying that it’s a weird thing to do, but it has worked for her. Interestingly enough, this wasn’t the first mention of it. She also mentioned using saliva to cure acne in a 2021 interview with Pinkvilla, although she had been more careful there, advising viewers to speak to skincare professionals if they have serious issues.

Is It Safe to Do?

Even if it worked for Tamannaah, spit is not something dermatologists advocate to use on pimples. Saliva carries enzymes and bacteria with it that assist with the beginning of digestion, but the same bacteria can be problematic when added to broken or inflamed skin. Rather than fixing the skin, salivary application could potentially irritate it further or add infection, particularly if there is already a breakout.

Medical experts highly recommend against attempting home remedies that use bodily fluids or unsterilized materials. Because one treatment succeeded for one individual, it is not necessarily safe or effective for everyone. Skin types are different, and so are reactions to various ingredients.

What You Can Do Instead?

If you’re interested in treating pimples safely and effectively, there are many dermatologist-recommended options. Over-the-counter creams that have ingrediengts like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide can help reduce acne. And last but not least the best thing that you can do is go visit a good dermatologist.
