How To Wear A Bold Red Lip Like Tamannaah
At a recent event, actress Tamannaah Bhatia wore a jewel red Nachiket Barve jumpsuit and looked like a million bucks in both the style and beauty departments. Brightly coloured outfits like this one are usually paired with smokey eyes in neutral colours and nude lips, and I must confess that beauty look is getting a tad boring. Which is why I was pleasantly surprised by the actress’s choice to match her outfit with scarlet lips. The risk has paid off well, IMHO.
Tamannaah’s beauty look is all about luminous skin, pared down eyes and va-va-voom lips. Start with skin that is well-moisturised. There’s absolutely no trace of contouring here; just some minimal blush on the apples of her cheeks and some strobing. Ladies, take note: Shine is not necessarily a bad thing when you do it right.
A hint of bronze eye shadow on the lids, pearly eye shadow on the brow bone, and smudged black eyeliner with loads of mascara are the perfect way to complement to her bright pout and allow them to be the focus. I like the touch of brown on her lower waterline instead of black. It softens the overall look.
As for those bold lips, I love the brick red hue with hints of brown. I wonder if it is L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Star Red – Pure Brick or a similar shade. Either way, she looks stunning and it’s a look you can easily DIY as well!
