1. Puffy Eyes?

This often happens due to lack of sleep, crying, stress, or simply the weather. Actually, I woke up with puffy eyes this morning. Difference is, it ain’t my big day. But even if it was, here’s what to do: use any cooling eye gel. If you don’t have that, wrap ice in a bunch of tissues and put it on your eyes. Dab away. You can also take a 15-minute nap before the craziness starts with cold cucumber slices on your eyes. Watch your eyes de-puff!

2. Zit?

Woke up with a pimple? Girl, that’s the worst. In case you catch it the night before, sleep with a patch of yoghurt on it. But, if you catch it as soon as you wake up, you can do that in the morning too. You can also apply eye drops on your pimple to restrict redness.

3. Been Crying?

It happens to the best of us. It’s an emotional day after all. Apply foundation to your tear tracks and then wipe it off. This will give you a fresh and clean base.

4. Yellow Teeth?

Do your teeth look a little more yellow today? Rub a lemon or citrus-y fruit all over your teeth. In fact, if you have more time, brush your teeth with a baking soda and lime juice solution. Make sure you don’t do this too often, it could erode your enamel.

5. Feeling Bloated?

Well, here’s what you can do. As soon as you wake up, drink two glasses of warm water with lemon and avoid caffeine. Overall, just drink lots of water throughout the day to flush out the toxins.

6. Sunburn?

If you’re having a destination wedding, chances of this are higher. Either way, sunscreen all over your body is a must, especially in the days leading up to your wedding week. But, in case you do wake up with sunburn, apply a cold compress made of milk, water and ice. Don’t use regular soap, use a gentle, foaming cleanser instead (maybe your face wash). and follow with cool, aloe gel. Aloe gel may come handy with any inflammation emergency.

7. Hair & Makeup Issues

Firstly, we recommend 1 to 2 trials of hair and makeup before your big day. Second, while you’re makeup is being applied and your hair is being styled, don’t be afraid to voice your concerns and opinions. It’s your day! It should go your way.
