If there’s one thing I’m always noticing about Sonakshi Sinha’s makeup, it’s her highlighter! That stuff is always LIT, turnt, on fleek, and all those things. There are a few trade secrets involved in getting the perfect highlight, 3 tips to be precise. I’m going to share them with you, but first, let’s admire these pictures of Sonakshi’s blinding highlighter.

O-M-G, I’m loving that golden shine on her cheekbones.

Oooo, this time, she rocked a pink, pearly finish that just glides on top of her blush.

Here, it’s got a silver finish and you can spot it from afar!

And let’s not forget this subtle sheen. Doesn’t she look like a little glazed doughnut?

Last, but definitely not least, this glam goddess is slaying our lives!

Damn, her makeup artist, Nileysh Parmaar really goes hard on that highlighter. If you want to look like a shimmering doll, follow 3 tips to keep it one hundred.

1. Placement

Placement is of utmost importance, when it comes to highlighter. Don’t place the highlighter on your cheek. Find your cheekbone and dust it directly on top. Glide it from your cheekbone to your brow arch and dust a little excess right above the brow arch, as well.

Use your fingers to apply some on your cupid’s bow and just a tiny bit on the tip of your nose. Then, add a little bit in the inner corner of your eyes and the tiny, middle bridge of your nose. Watch the video for a detailed tutorial.

2. Be Extra!

Never be afraid to do it extra. The consistency of your highlighter is completely up to you — liquid, cream, or powder. But layer a powder on top of a liquid or cream to up the ante.

3. Highlighter Hack

If you can’t keep investing in new highlighters, use cream pigments or eyeshadows as highlighters. This way, you’ll get a whole lot of pigment and you can experiment with colour too.

#HauteHack: Gold and copper shimmer looks great on most brown skin tones, but never be afraid to go crazy and experiment!
